This a large campground and park. The water is a man-made pond, so be aware of that. Take a cart / wagon and be prepared to hike between locations. There is a fully stocked store with amenities. Overall quite nice and close to Winnipeg.
My experience
Enjoyed the Napier SUV tent and the Bluetti power pack with solar. I overestimated the power gathering capability of the solar panel I bought. I will be investing in a larger power pack and panel.
What worked
The Bluetti and power pack did keep my Iceco fridge cold.
What didn’t
Had to spend too much time manipulating the solar equipment. A larger power pack and larger solar panel will need less attention.
Would I return or buy it again?
Overall Birds Hill is nice. It has a beach however this is not a "lake". Great for biking and hiking. Learned alot about the capability of camping with solar.
